EigenLayer expands on ethereums cryptographic guarantees. By having an external economic incentive layer, ethereum can securely service apps that require consensus around subjective faults that are not cryptographically provable. Eg. A data withholding attack The EIGEN token is for settling “inter-subjective” matters These are not provable on chain Eg. Who is the current Australian Prime Minister? Pure economic security and insurance through Stakesure should be appealing to institutions that don’t trust blockchain systems Eg. If this bridge takes my money, I’m compensated in full
