I've had a few new proposers recently ask how to get community engagement and where to talk to people in public about their candidates etc. My answer used to be here, but with new warpcast channel strucutre this has become inaccessible to many. I know the nouncil discord has a lot of prop talk but it's not public nor where many voters go to see or engage in discussion. Anyone have thoughts on what we should be encouraging builders to do?

you really have to do your rounds these days.. there is no 'single' place anymore, you gotta go multiple places: a. Nouncil: V-important.. but if you just attempt to "drive by" propose.. it likely wont go well unless your idea is a HELL YES across the board. Best bet is for new proposers to come and listen for a few weeks and get a feel for the community and how they vote. b. Warp/twitter: Obviously circulate your ideas on social; but can be buried if you don't have the right followers. c. TNS / Lil Happy Hour (thursdays): Fewer voters but very active weekly community. Get these groups behind your prop and gain a few handfuls of votes.. imo, best way to get support is to build and make sure you have pmf before going live, IMO.. Does the community want/use your work? Are people asking you to propose a larger prop? Seeing big proposers fail because they're unwilling to change their vision and truly 'listen' to the community (or just have too large of asks based on the current treasury size).
