everyone sorta rolls their own aggregated combo of Trust Wallet assets repo https://github.com/trustwallet/assets + coingecko API + custom local overrides that said there are initiatives to improve the situation — peep this one https://github.com/SmolDapp/tokenAssets

trust wallet is the biggest bang for buck (literally, they make you pay to upload the image, but also is the most widely depended upon)
