"ETH has never had a good term for a microether" I refuse to believe someone that has been in the space as long as @rsa.eth doesn't know that Szabos have always represented 0.000001 ETH. This is like a weird marketing version of whitewashing a unit name that used to actually represent something.

agree szabos existed as a unit but i don’t think szabos ever saw any meaningful usage / adoption so im not really sure if its a “unit name that used to actually represent something” if nobody and no products ever really used it

I'm sure a Watt, Newton, Tesla or Celsius didn't have any meaningful usage as a unit for a long time (some officially recognized a hundred years after the people they were named after were dead), but it doesn't mean we can freely erase them from history.
