re, the coming channel changes and day one members: >for channels /with moderation enabled/ any user who was liked by a mod or mod-bot will be auto-migrated to the "new" channel. >dan is asking for feedback but this sounds workable to me. what popular channels are /not/ moderated, if any?

Popular channels will be fine. Growing channels will have a hard time. A good step forward for the platform anyway.

depends on why/ how those channels are growing. not all growth is good growth. in fast, bad-growth should be /assumed/ pending evidence to the contrary. abundant bots are the background condition/ assumption.

The plan suggests 3 ways of adding members: 1. Current channel followers (mine has 169) 2. Current moderator(s) foloowers (I have 1.9k including bots :) ) 3. Looking through show more replies to find potential members. (Will not work for my channel) Obviously I'm only considering my own situation.

new channel member journey will be something like: >enrolls in warpcast >sees /venting posts from people they follow in main >visit /venting and discovers your invite-gate frame pinned to the top >they click the frame, do the thing, and subscribe. >you remove them if they suck anyway growth may slow if your original growth rate didn't reflect the new quality controls AND you didn't correct for bot infiltration (ie, tip washing channels are high growth channels but absolute garbage).
