Some thoughts on spam on Farcaster and how we tackle it. 

First question - What is spam?  

The naive answer is "automated activity" but this isn't right. Over 75% of spam we find comes from real humans who have phones, wallets and x accounts. 

The best definition is "inauthentic activity". It's that feeling you get when you realize that someone who is following, liking or replying to is doing it to benefit themselves and not because they're interested in you.

About tagging there a myth going around that tagging more than 3,4 per cast is spammy. Is there any truth to that? 
If I'm analyzing sth and tag users to compare sth and not all of them interact with the cast is that bad?

Farcaster is my first and only social media | I'm mostly JK | Host /venting /burrfrens | mod /impact /byegary

How about following and engaging with people marked as spam? Sorry I have no idea how random forest works.

Tagging people who don’t want to be tagged is spammy
