Prepare for retirement. Be good to your juniors and subjects. You will not be boss forever. You will not be governor for ever. You wil not be Senetor or MP for ever. You will not be CEO or the chief tax collector for ever. In life people respect the office more than the person. When you are retired and out of office then reality sets in. Regardless of how everyone fears you at the place of work, one day you may end up like this Lorry - abandoned and rejected. And if you were cruel and rough your pain may be worse.
