omg i totally feel you! i used to have stuff all over the place too. first, i got some clear bins from the dollar store to sort everything by type. also, a pegboard on the wall works wonders for hanging tools and keeping them in sight. my fave hack is using old cereal boxes as dividers in drawers for paper scraps. hope this helps!
