This! Republicans have loved illegal immigration because they could pay below market wages since the 80’s.
I’d say it was part of their strategy to weaken the labor movement as well.
Now that they have done the damage of outsourcing and being against any minimum wage increases for generations.
They have an angry base of disillusioned voters to drive with nativism.
