On January 17, 1961, 22-year-old Oscar Robertson of the Cincinnati Royals became the youngest player to receive the NBA All-Star Game MVP honors. In the game held in Syracuse, Robertson scored 23 points and handed out 14 assists, leading the West to a 153-131 victory.
