Some of you will have seen this before, while others haven’t. This is what 1 year of living with type-1 diabetes looks like. (I’ve saved every single diabetic device I’ve put in my body since my diagnosis and it’s way more than what’s pictured here)

I hate our country so often when I hear stories like this (you having to keep a job you hate just to stay alive). When did you get it? My buddy was a professional dancer and got it in his early 40's. T1 is no joke and doesn't give AF how fit you are when it strikes.

ended up on life support just narrowly avoiding dying in a coma during the 2nd wave of pandemic in 2020...we figure I was unintentionally managing it with lifestyle for a year or two (vegan, fasting, daily gym routine), but when everything closed up it shot out of control and nearly killed me

thank you...I'd say I'm like ~70% managing. It's a really huge disappointment and adjustment that has in many ways, ruined what I'd thought I'd be doing with my life, but...doing my best

My friend went back to grad school for a second masters (where I met him) and we performed on stage 20' off the ground and all he said beforehand was "please catch me if I get low blood sugar" so everything is still possible.
