last Friday, I submitted a proposal to /purple to co-sponsor /just-frame-it, a 2-month sprint supporting 6 teams in shipping production-ready frames.
voting has started, and i’ve received great feedback. Here’s more context:
💰 budget ($30K total - 50% Purple, 50% other sponsors)
covers program coordination + travel/lodging for the top 3 teams, voted every two weeks by a selected jury (purple + sponsors + mentors listed on the website)
🗳️ team selection
this sprint is for experienced frame builders - we're optimizing for quality over quantity, not onboarding new devs. the selection process is still open, but we want it to be fair, transparent, and visible to everyone.
in my opinion, the best approach would be a jury vote consisting of Purple members, other sponsors, and the mentors listed on our website. i believe this ensures aligned incentives toward the goal of bringing great Frames and more DAUs on Farcaster
