The journey to finding yourself is spiritual. Connecting with your real self is connecting to the divine. I have been on this journey for the last 10 years. Trying to listen closely to my soul and trying to connect with it. Does it echo with someone here?

Also I have felt it's the childhood which pushes one towards spirituality. Maybe its a weak hypothesis but eager to listen to other's thoughts?
