I don’t think there’s past experience to draw from here…this is a fundamental restructuring of world order that hasn’t been seen since WWII. We haven’t imposed tariffs like this since McKinley was president. 

Seeing Lutnick and Bessent literally contradicting each other on TV while Trump is playing golf doesn’t instill confidence in me there is even a real goal, let alone a plan. You’d think they’d at least have sort of conference call to sync up. 🤣

Seems like we’re cooked (at least us Americans 🤣)

Very positive news that this is being pushed in Congress, reigning in that spending power from tariff revenue would hamper Trump’s plan. Unfortunately I’m less optimistic about the effectiveness. As we are seeing with DOGE, the executive branch is moving fast and ruthlessly, leaving Congress and the courts playing catch-up (and they’ll take a while to do so)
