What's the first fiction you encountered that had some kind of AI in it? I think mine was Short Circuit (1986 film), which I just learnt was directed by the War Games guy.

Caught up on the new Succession episodes. Don't feel like continuing (though I might). Plot seems like the same old 4D chess power moves. Still love the characters, always amazes me how good the dialogue is, how it perfectly reflects bullshit-corporate/investor/business-speak,

I like Stephen King worlds. Castle Rock was unexpectedly top tier. The Mist was bleh. Tried a few episodes of Under the Dome but it just fell flat. Plot was plodding along too slowly, focused on boring character stuff that didn't really address the mf dome part that much. Gave up. https://i.imgur.com/TrQ0hri.jpg

Altered Carbon S1 was great -- pure cyberpunk, full of classic tropes, quite pulpy and noir. Lots of fun ideas and a fast moving plot, nothing too deep, just satisfyingly mid storytelling. Production is a little soap-opera-y, compared to say a Westworld, but it works with the weird oversaturated vibes.
