Mask of Nilaek, the Monkey Commander: This mask represents one of the characters from the Khmer version of the Ramayana, the Reamker story that supports the all-male dance-drama tradition (lakhaoun khaol). The monkey characters that rule in the khaol tradition are seen in the black-faced Nilaek, the monkey commander.
