My grandparents meeting Reagan and Elizabeth Dole in 1985. He was an executive at Conrail and they were celebrating Reagan's privatization of the publicly owned US railroads. Elizabeth Dole was Transportation Secretary at the time. My politics took an absolute 180Β° in two generations that's for sure π I never had a conversation with him about politics or any of this so I don't know how he felt about it.

Itβs not easy to imagine that you belong to this family. Of course, I don't know you very well; (I'm not very fluent in English, I hope I mean it right)

Yes it translates well. It's true for sure π but the explanation is my dad bought a motorcycle, took off from that side of the family in the '80s to to be a hippie in California before ending up in Washington State with my mom. So he wasn't very close to them. I grew up with working class parents so that's where my perspective is from.

Thank youπ , your life story is interesting. It's great when someone finds his/her way and lives the way he /she likes even if it's not easy.
