Is this also what base is trying to do with smart wallets and the use of passkeys?

There are some examples where it has been abstracted away, like Pirate Nation and Photon. It comes at a custodial/trust cost, however.

This is true for me whenever I use ETH/L2s, those "allow balance changes" txs are so annoying
