The most expensive painting in history sold at auction is considered to be “Salvator Mundi” by Leonardo da Vinci. In 2017, it was sold at Christie's for an incredible $450.3 million. The painting depicts Jesus Christ with his right hand raised, in which he blesses, and in his left he holds a glass ball.
