what about close handles in Twitter and ens? 

For example, I’ve secured a @melo handle, my Twitter handle is @melo_lfg and ens the same.

Couple of my friends joined later than me, had less active and got invites

If you're active here, you get preference on the name (assuming it's not a clear squatting of a brand, etc.).

Goal is not to create a weird name court system. It's give rough guidance and make the right call on a case by case basis.

Important part is you can opt out of that system with ENS (which you control).
