The Base project pursues several different goals. The main goal of this project is to facilitate access to Ethereum network decentralized applications in the second layer solution. In addition, the developers of the second layer network of Coinbase hope that the underlying blockchain will become a low-cost communication bridge for the Ethereum chain, reducing its cost and traffic load.

The second layer nature of Base makes it rely on Ethereum in terms of decentralization and security. These two factors are almost proven in the Ethereum network and have passed their test🎭
