Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), stated that the EU will not consider Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. She emphasized that purchasing Bitcoin is not an option for any Eurozone central bank, as national reserves must remain liquid, reliable, and secure, without being associated with potential risks such as money laundering or other criminal activities.
