Life is lonely. I don’t know what I would do without literature honestly. It has helped me survive all throughout my life. I remember reading my first book at the age of 5 and feeling the magic of reading someone else’s mind. There’s no other art form that enables you to read someone else’s thoughts. Every other art form is an interpretation. I remember doing a book report on CS Lewis in 7th grade. My Shakespeare class in 10th grade and being picked to read Kate in Taming of The Shrew. And finding Anglo-Saxon literature in 11th grade, then graduating early and studying Greek. What a gift literature is. My best friend. I don’t want to ever live without it.
