My personal onboarding of friends tells a pretty clear story.

- one joined for /sports-bets to bet on Football Games Last Summer
- one joined for $degen /degen to stay up to date
- one joined also for $degen & I found out they kept looking into /memes /books for a while
- @cornelia has become very active in /higher /higher-athletics

None of them care about the main feed. That‘s just random stuff.

I assume crypto Folks want to read more about tokens, crypto news, DeFi, crypto x ai. (At least I & my crypto groups on WhatsApp & TG would want that - nb looks for a new niche Internet Forum initially)

Why is there no good crypto Channel/community here on farcaster? That‘s the main question for me.

I‘ve seen it‘s very hard to grow your own channel and to keep it non-spammy. Hence, doesn’t make sense to put in the work as a normal new User but it would make sense for Farcaster to do it, to seed it, to Feature it, to either mod it or ask for community Volunteers or pay something for it.
