Mark Avida is set to replace Gary Gensler as acting chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ovida, along with Hester Pierce, is one of two pro-crypto voices among the SEC's five commissioners. Both have supported initiatives such as the spot bitcoin ETF and criticized Gensler's regulatory stance.
