What is the react/typescript of the hardware/robotics world?

By this, I mean the platform / tech which has most generaliseable skills, and the highest RoI in terms of learning vs a tangible (maybe even monetisable) output

What would you say are the equivalents of the following developer tutorials (projects with increasing complexity)

1. Print hello world in the console

2. Create a (JS only) cash register with items and price calculator 

3 Todo app

There are a lot of options out there, I’d say the closest is that ROS / ROS2 is the closest out there today, but even then you need to get a turtle bot to get started, it’s not a full stack ready to go. A lot of options
