first thing, just to clarify: Base is for everyone was a post by base on zora, not an official token. we've been posting on zora for years and we're excited about their new model where content is coined.

why? because unlocking coins creates powerful tool for helping creators to earn from their creativity and paves the way for even more experimentation. there was a lot of chatter around whether this was Good or Bad. my 2c is that people are used to one way of thinking about coins, and this is new and different. we expected some criticism, and it did feel a little scary. and if i could go back and do it again, i would have done even more disclaiming from @base upfront.

going forward, we’re going to keep coining because we believe everyone should bring their content onchain. the intention is to lead by example and to experiment in public. good podcast below if you want to learn more.
