Reminds me of when the government took land from the people without resources saying they arent productive and gave it to people with land already. Weird decision. Goes against the values and principles that made me like the blockchain space.

Yoo I think about this a lot. We want fast, low cost and decentralized right? L2s easily solve the problem of speed and cost. I haven't dived deeper on how they want to attack decentralization.

In the past 2 decades Zimbabwe has changed currencies 5 times. 2006 - operation sunrise (ZWD) 2009 - Dolarisation (USD) 2016 - Bond Note 2019 - RTGS ( ZWL) 2024 - Zig (ZWG) That population knows a thing or two about uncertainty and price volatility.
