I tried to connect to metamask and coinbase wallet and even Phantom wallet, all unsuccessfully, but downloaded their recommended Rainbow wallet, and it worked seamlessly. Little by little. It's sort of the same characters from Twitter but with different types of interactivities.

I’ll check out rainbow wallet. Everything with more or less explicit tokenized incentives feels a little strange

Early adopters got a big allocation. Recently they dropped daily allowances by 70%, so unless you're a power user, buying the 10k minimum to get access to daily allowances, I find it difficult to find the draw. Frames might be the avenue, though. Still learning myself
