Extremely exciting: People-Powered Bandwidth is now live on STORE. It's effectively a decentralized CDN where once the bandwidth budget for a permanently stored asset expires, the global community can top it up.

...We're introducing an Endowment as well that raises the starting floor for bandwidth. And the issuer of a permanently stored asset can buy more bandwidth at issuance (thus incurring higher permanent storage costs).

...It's a very elegant solution to an extremely challenging problem: who pays for bandwidth for a workload when it's not a centralized entity (YouTube) selling ads to pay for the compute. It'll work for LLMs too. We're on the cusp of getting GPUs into STORE protocol now.
