I only just recently realized that a normal (Gaussian) distribution on a log chart is... a parabola (!!)

Relatedly, Euler’s identity feels like witchcraft to me. e^(i * π) + 1 = 0??? Is this real life??? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler's_identity

Nature is beautiful. Why wouldn’t it’s governing principles also be?

Haha, it absolutely should be! Which is what’s driven physicists for so long to have a unified field theory AKA “the theory of everything.” They’ve found it very frustrating that, when trying to unify all of physics, they’re left with kludged-together, domain-specific equations vs. one elegant solution.

Physics is trying to describe reality while math is our own made up theoretical universe that happens to apply to our reality. We know so little about reality. Physics will never get there. There’s too much complexity and unknown unknowns in the real world. Physicists also have a long track record of being wrong 😆
