Good actually considering we need a first choice Goalkeeper who has experience. Thought we'd go for Bono instead but I think Kepa his okay too. Really wanted Lunin to be our first choice GK tho, but he seems to lack experience.

Overall, loan makes sense. While there are some GKs available (De Gea potentially being one), going for a loan signals that Courtois is still the long term number 1 at Madrid. It’s somewhat coincidental to see two major GKs (Neuer being the other one) having season ending injuries. Can’t recall seeing that before.

From what I recall, it’s a season-long loan. Courtois is expected to be able to play again by April or May, so just in time for the tail end of the season.
