Monad is rolling out a testnet
Monad (https://x.com/monad_xyz) is a Layer1 blockchain built on the EVM and focused on TPS (transaction speed), founded by a former Jump Trading developer.
The project has raised (https://cryptorank.io/ru/ico/monad#funding-rounds) $244 million from DragonFly Capital, Paradigm, Shima Capital, OKX Ventures, Electric Capital, Lemniscap, Naval Ravikant and other funds.
In March, during the network test, the team managed (https://www.theblock.co/post/278182/monad-10000-tps-devnet-launch) to achieve 10,000 TPS, i.e. to process 10,000 transactions per second in 1 block, which means that Monad will be able to process 1 billion transactions per day. The blockchain, which is built on the EVM, was able to achieve such results because it decided to create a new EVM from scratch, instead of cloning the Ethereum codebase. 0 reply
