RIP Maryville Overwatch 2018-2025. Recruiting this roster in July -> winning HUEFest in October was the most wild emotional rollercoaster of my Esports Career. Maryville’s Overwatch team over the years challenged the legitimacy of a true path to pro in Esports, and I was so proud to be a part of it.

Funny enough; it’s a 3.0-3.5 league. But we play 6 weeks, 3 games per week. So DUPRs end up really fluctuating if you lose/win all your games. Last season Yin was unranked and was a 4.0 by the end of the season. And then was offered a free spot for winning the league.

In February, /nouns-esports funded a group of Smash Players attending Syracuse University to throw a regional tournament. (Funding won in a round on Nouns.GG) In May, they won Collegiate Esports program of the year. Incredible to see the growth this year, and to see Syracuse leading the way for Scholastic Esports.
