SF-casters: thinking about renting a convertible for the weekend. I have to drop it off in SF (would’ve done LA). What are the most scenic day/overnight trips I can do?

You can drive to the top of Mount Tam and hike around there. There's no exact address AFAIK, but if you find the Pantoll Campground in Maps, the entrance to the peak is right across the street. It's my favorite view in the whole bay area.

Grew up in Marin and took for granted. Lived in nyc for 9 years, have been all over world. Now that I’m back in bay, in constant state of amazement

i think perhaps we in the bay take it for granted but i think marin really is one of the most beautiful places out there
