don't think it get's talked about enough but Farcaster clients can be much better "wallets" than wallets The account is much better defined and clients can abstract wallet UX much more naturally than a dozen embedded wallets - "smart" or otherwise

But the real question is Do Farcaster clients become wallets, or do wallets become Farcaster clients?

wallets become farcaster and farcaster becomes the social layer & web3 homepage clients then become identity-enabled apps & dedicated communities the inverse of current onboarding which is wallets become browsers which then become a limiting homepage, as it needs to rely on other protocols & apps to handle social, identity & community

Yeah even filling out a sunnies application yesterday it was so refreshing to just start typing the teams usernames to add them to the app The identity layer of the next iteration of the internet is so compelling But identity is downstream of actually using the account which is down stream of critical mass We definitely have a good chunk of rowing before we get there (also fwiw I actually fuck with wallets in-app browsers and am baffled it took as long as it did considering trust wallet had one back in 2017 💀 )

browsers in wallets is a no brainer lol but agree i also think a good socially -enabled use of identity could create critical mass by itself
