it just uses the @0xproject smart contract so maybe they have seen this before?

This has been updated. 

In this case the simulation is doing what it is supposed to do i.e. warn you when assets are being sent to an empty address albeit the warning message is a bit heavy handed. (https://basescan.org/address/0x00000b0a7308257bfd464868f14d34c5108fd898)
