do you care if it’s an onchain primitive vs frontend tool?

decent portion of this feels like an ad for @anonworld https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-joe-rogan-experience/id360084272?i=1000683499141

*every time* i make a good find at uniqlo i go back to the store and find that it’s been replaced with a new item. i know i could prob find them online but i’m lazy. i wish they had a QR code on their clothes that say “like this? scan to buy more”. i’d probably spend 2-3x more if they did this.

agree… action produces information, which gets you closer to certainty

honestly those numbers feel pretty good based on how wide adoption of crypto is? maybe I'm not up-to-date on solana adoption

I've had periods where I ship daily and periods where I don't ship anything publicly for months. The thoughts might sound familiar: I can't ship this because [xyz] is not perfect. I can't ship because [xyz] just needs this one more feature. I can't ship [xyz] yet because it won't scale to millions of users. In hindsight I can see that this is almost always cope: a subconscious way to avoid facing the reality that people might not want what I've built. Maybe they do! but I'll never know if I don't ship. And if I keep making excuses, I'll never have to face the music. The problem is that the longer you go without shipping, the more the pressure builds. Now you *really* have to be sure it's good, and that makes it take even longer. I've made this mistake many times as a founder and it's the thing I try most to avoid now, especially the last year of building @event. Pull the cord and fucking ship it. Don't wait. Perfect is the enemy of good.

since I'm not a solidity developer I have no idea how hard this is to do. But it feels like it would be a very powerful primitive to have a way to do community dividends and rewards as an immutable smart contract

Idea I've been noodling on: * A new kind of split where the recipient list maps proportionally onchain to holders of an ERC-20 or ERC-1155 token. eg: if you own 5% of higher, you can claim 5% of whatever is sent to higher.splits.eth would you use this? * no idea how feasible this is / not something we're working on

next obvious step is to do something that is entirely possible onchain today - build a "distribute clankerrewards to your hypersub" organic network, align with biggest and longest term early supports, prove intentions and get noticed over time, when you're ready to go bigger do it in alignment with your earliest supporters!

this resonates... if I take a vacation and spend the entire time building a side project, that's not really a vacation. It's just working for a different person (myself).
