Is there a point where the opposition to Apple's app store rules becomes too great and the dam breaks? What do you think? Personally, I think it's going to take antitrust scrutiny, but I may be wrong. https://i.imgur.com/KdiX6i2.png

IMO the issue here is similar to royalties in NFT marketplaces vs. the consumer. Consumers don't feel this pain, Creators (developers) do. If the developers coordinate together then it probably will. Recent reference would be would be when Opensea announced reevaluation of royalties.

Not sure, I think there are very few players that could cause Apple to reconsider. Twitter or Coinbase do not clear that bar. Antitrust didn’t seem to go anywhere with the Fortnite case…

It’s interesting to consider what Apple do in App Review as a form of content moderation, just like eg. Twitter make decisions about which tweets are not ok, and what accounts are suspended. It’s sort of the same problem, but Apple gets away with the most aggressive form of moderation and the most elaborate rule se
