interesting thing just happened to me, I've been noodling on a side project idea for an AI recipe app and then I found that someone built exactly the idea I was thinking of.

So I tried it and realized I don't actually think I'd use it that often. And now I no longer care to build it myself. That was quite a speed run.

my thoughts:
- the random ads are super annoying, immediate churn rather than enticing me to pay
- fluid swiping motions and haptics are very underrated (missing from this app)
- can definitely see why instagram beat hipstamatic. using this app feels so lonely compared to finding recipes on social media

Anyway, my main two side project ideas right now are rebuilding eventcaster and a podcast app. feels like I need some new inspiration.
