Would you track their location automatically? Or have them update it manually?

yeah I think that checks out. the only thing to note in my experience (built a few prototypes of apps like this) is that people are very hesitant to give out their location, even tho they use Find My. But excited to try whatever you build!

Ideally as auto as possible, and manual when needed
