One question I ask myself often is: what benefits (to hosts and attendees) can @event provide to events that weren't originally planned on our app. Put another way: if you started your event on Partiful (say to reach a non-FC audience), how can I also convince you to make an @event. Some ideas (some in the works, others planned): - easily message all FC-native attendees, quick feedback loop to take an action (e.g. vote on a poll in DC frame, mint in DC, un-rsvp if not going, etc) - see which farcaster friends are attending — boosts attendance - alert channel calendar subscribers automatically when new events posted - keep track of participation in a farcaster-native way - augment attendee data with farcaster identity + social + wallet data - easily invite many people to attend via direct cast (with two taps to rsvp) - easily send items to all your attendees with one tap Any other ideas? Goal is to make @event not simply an event planning tool, but rather a distribution and coordination tool for creators.

gate future events based on past event attendance or other factors/atteststions/assets enable features on event that make it easily shareable and incentivize people to share (if you share or refer people you’re more likely to get approved maybe)

the plan re 1 is to make @event the best analytics tool for channel participation so that hosts can manually or auto approve guests based on that stuff! re 2a (sharing)—yes. lots of stuff there coming. re 2b (incentives)—a lot of ppl have asked about this. Not quite sure yet what the right move is. I like your point tho—maybe should just make each invite link unique so hosts know who's referring people and can reward/approve based on it.

i personally would not want 2b i want people showing up who want to be there not a bunch of invite farmers who take up space and make it harder for me to approve the right folks

yeah I have the same hesitation here. part of why I haven't done anything with it yet even though it's a common suggestion.

yeah but you’re also more likely to approve someone if they get invited by a person you trust or someone who is high signal there’s something useful here with the right mechanics
