Every dApp needs its own WalletConnect projectId now, conveniently only generated by signing up to WalletConnect’s servers. 🤦 How did we get to this point and what happened to the goals of decentralization?

Totally agree. I’ve been complaining about this for two years. And on top of the decentralization point, walletconnect’s really bad reliability is holding this whole space back. We really need an alternative.
