Wrote an assignment prompt for a short project using ChatGPT. The prompt requires students to get an assignment idea relevant to our current unit from AI, solve it using AI, and document and reflect on the process. My prompt to them is simply the output of my ChatGPT exchange. Christopher Nolan levels of meta happening. Now let’s hope the idea actually works in practice!

I had high school students try to get a 5 on the English AP using CGPT. They couldn’t do it last year, and part of the point of the exercise was to show that it wasn’t so much a single prompt fire and forget type of tool. Might easier now with better tooling.

That’s a part of the idea. But I also want to show how it can be a tool for precise, iterative improvements and not a panacea that prevents the need for any thinking or reflection. (And it’s a fun pre-Thanksgiving assignment.)
