Yep, most of the rapids were III/IV but the waterfall was grade V. 

They scare you pretty well beforehand by telling you all the things that go wrong and then give you the option to get out. Me and my son decided to give it a go! 🤘🏻

Wow, that’s super intense. Our guide mentioned that New Zealand has the tallest drops you can go on in a commercial boat. Leave it to the Kiwis! 😂

Thanks Matt! I once went down the Shotover in New Zealand in grade 5. We got a puncture and had to go over the rapids with an oar strapped to the raft. It was snowing and a lot of people got hypothermia.
