Hal Finney would have turned 69 today.

This American programmer stood at the origins of the cryptocurrency, was the first user of the coin, was the first to launch a Bitcoin node on his computer and received the first 10 BTC transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto himself (many believe that he is Satoshi Nakamoto).

Unfortunately, Finney did not live to see this day — he died on August 28, 2014, bequeathing before his death to freeze his body for resurrection in the future, where scientists will find a way to treat diseases.

His legendary tweet lives on to this day — and even Jack Dorsey didn't dare delete this crypto monument during the global purge of Twitter from inactive accounts in 2019.


The world has not yet figured out how to resurrect Finney, but bitcoin has achieved unprecedented heights during this time.
