very cool. 

been thinking about a similar idea where the content of the podcast is rated by sentence based on how much signal it contains (ads, intro/outro being lowest signals). 

then a podcast can be shortened to a user's desired length by removing lowest signal. so if i have 20 minutes to listen, the podcast can be shortened to the highest signal 20 mins.

just haven't had that much time to experiment with this.

was inspired by @matthew to hack on this. so i made an app that takes a podcast url and generates a transcription and a scored chapter list based on relevance to remove ads and other low signal content. 

next step is to rate the relevance of each sentence/segment to be able to compress the audio to a desired length or signal threshold.
