Jamie Coutts, senior analyst at Real Vision, predicts that the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector will grow 4-5x by 2025 as traditional finance enters the market, with some DeFi protocols outperforming Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
According to Coutts, centralized exchanges will start acquiring new companies and integrating with cryptocurrencies, and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), especially equities and fixed income, will increase.
He also believes that the cryptocurrency industry is overtaking the traditional finance sector, citing Coinbase’s revenue, which accounts for 11% of global exchange revenue. 3 replies
