The founder of Red Bull is Dietrich Mateschitz, an Austrian entrepreneur who co-founded the company in 1984. He discovered the idea for the energy drink during a business trip to Thailand, where he came across Krating Daeng, a popular local energy drink. Seeing its potential, he partnered with Chaleo Yoovidhya, the Thai businessman who originally created Krating Daeng.
