Imagine accidentally throwing away a hard drive that held 7,500 Bitcoins worth hundreds of millions of dollars today. That’s exactly what happened to James Howells back in 2013. He’s been fighting for years to search the landfill where it’s buried, but so far, no luck. It’s wild to think that around 20% of all Bitcoins are lost forever, sitting in forgotten wallets or trapped in discarded devices. Those lost coins are like buried treasure, except no one knows how to dig them up. Crazy, right?
